St Patrick's Athletic v Dundalk: Preview

Dundalk FC face another major test on Friday night as they travel to Inchicore to take on Stephen Kenny’s St Patrick’s Athletic. Dundalk have made a positive start to the league campaign and will aim to take another step forward on Friday night.

Manager Comments

"We’re really looking forward to the match tomorrow night. It’s our third game in the week, so it’s another massive challenge for us. It’s St Pat’s first home game of the season, so it should be a great occasion, and we know Stephen will have them very well set up.

We take a lot of confidence from the performances we’ve produced so far.

A lot of lads will feel they’ve given a very good account of themselves in the opening three matches. We were hurt in our first two games by conceding late goals, but we’ve stayed honest in how we play and we try to attack in every game. We got our reward for this approach against Shamrock Rovers despite being down to ten men.

There’s a very positive atmosphere in the squad. Now we have to make sure we’re ready to go again and produce the same level tomorrow night. It should be a great match."
